A leading video commerce platform faced a growing reporting bottleneck that strained internal resources and left customers waiting for performance insights. 10Pearls designed and launched a Claude-powered analytics agent that transforms manual reporting into a secure, self-service experience, allowing customers to explore their video performance simply by asking questions.

Challenge
Demonstrating the value of embedded video required regular reporting. The company prepared ROI reports weekly for trial customers and monthly for established customers, with each report taking 5–6 hours per client. That manual process created a scaling constraint as the customer base expanded.
A standard dashboard previously developed by 10Pearls provided visibility into core metrics but could not accommodate every analytical question. Customers submitted 10–15 custom requests by email each month, introducing further work and delays between a question arising and an answer becoming available.
The technical challenge was to turn video-widget telemetry into a secure conversational analytics experience, allowing customers to explore their data while maintaining isolation between business accounts.
Solution
10Pearls replaced time-intensive manual reporting with instant, self-service analytics, giving customers the freedom to explore video performance simply by asking questions. The agent connects those questions to engagement data tracked through Video.js and stored in New Relic, with account-level access controls keeping each customer’s data isolated. Two Claude models work together to classify requests and generate relevant queries and answers. By embedding this capability directly into the product, 10Pearls helps customers make faster, better-informed decisions while reducing the reporting burden as the platform grows. Request classification is handled by Claude Haiku 4.5. Haiku evaluates incoming questions to determine whether they concern analytics. Query generation and answers are managed by Claude Sonnet 5. Sonnet serves as the primary model behind the agent, reasoning over the question, generating the required queries and constructing the response. The model’s reasoning supports the interpretation of open-ended business questions and their translation into relevant data queries. This extends access beyond predefined dashboard views, allowing customers to explore engagement through natural-language queries.
The team used Claude Code within a spec-driven development workflow and Claude Opus 5 for full-branch code reviews, helping assess how changes work together before merging. This approach supports continued development as customer needs evolve, with Claude powering both the analytics experience and the engineering behind it. The result is a scalable product capability that reduces reliance on manual reporting, gives customers faster access to insights, and enables the platform to serve a growing customer base without a corresponding increase in reporting effort.
Results & Benefits
The first release is live, providing 65 businesses with self-service access to video engagement analytics. Additional releases are in progress.
Manual weekly or monthly reporting has been replaced with an agent that the customers can use to query their data instantly on demand. Each report previously took 5 to 6 hours to prepare per client.
Custom analytics requests by email are expected to decline from 10–15 per month to near zero. By moving routine exploration into the product, the solution is intended to reduce reporting demands on the company, even as customer usage grows. Customers gain a more flexible way to investigate performance, with Claude supporting both the analytical experience and its continued development.
