What is Copilot Cowork? 

Copilot Cowork builds on the capabilities of Microsoft’s AI assistant Copilot beyond simply responding to prompts. It’s integrated into the Microsoft 365 ecosystem where your enterprise knowledge lives, allowing Cowork it to plan and execute contextually aware actions on behalf of the user.  

Copilot Cowork adds a level of autonomy to the existing Copilot-driven intelligent assistance. It already has access to your enterprise data and understands how it connects across systems, using Microsoft Graph and Work IQ signals. So, when you assign it a task, it understands the relevant context. It will identify your goal, create a step-by-step plan, and execute that plan (with your permissions when needed).
