Women Tech Quest Winners Announced

On April 7, 10Pearls University was thrilled to host the second annual Women Tech Quest at our Karachi office. The half day initiative, designed to create a space for women to come together to compete and showcase their talents, was attended by more that 150 women of all backgrounds: professionals, students, home makers, and more.

The competition included both a hackathon and testing competition. For the hackathon, a series of problems were presented to the participants, and they were required to use a programming language of their proficiency to solve them. The testing competition, which required contestants to solve 5 challenges consisting of test cases, was a mixture of test case writing, UI/UX testing, database testing, and API testing. The scoring was calculated on the criteria of participants passing all test cases and receiving a score out of 100 points. The participant who scored the most challenges in a limited time was considered the winner.

For this year’s competition we were excited to have partnered with a number of local news and business organizations. A few heartfelt thank yous to the organizations that supported Tech Quest, sent spokespeople to moderate opening and closing ceremonies, and presented participants with vouchers and giveaways:

The entire event of Women Tech Quest displayed a fun-filled spirit of competition and gave the women an opportunity to come together and express their creativity. 10Pearls hopes that the competition continues to pave the way for talented young women to leave their mark in the tech space.
