Challenge
Passengers traditionally had to hail taxis on the street, while app-based ride services offered a mobile alternative. The commission needed to bring this convenience to its taxi network. The solution also had to accommodate the different needs of passengers requesting rides and drivers providing them.
Solution
10Pearls developed a mobile taxi-booking platform with dedicated applications for passengers and drivers. The rider app supports cab requests and in-app payments, with automated notifications providing updates on ride events and location. The separate driver app supports the other side of the booking process.
The commission adopted the platform as its official taxi app, bringing mobile booking capabilities to a network of more than 6,500 cabs.
