Enabling reliable content distribution, personalized video experiences, and data-driven engagement through AWS cloud services.
A leading digital content business wanted video to be a more engaging, measurable, and impactful part of its online presence. Video content was already part of the platform, but it sat at the edges of the experience. Viewers watched passively, the team had little insight into what worked, and it was hard to tie video to business outcomes. 10Pearls delivered an AI-enabled video engagement and analytics platform on AWS. It brings video delivery, audience engagement, data insights, and monetization into a single product that the client can extend as its offering grows.
The client needed an on-demand video platform that did more than host and play videos. It had to offer customizable website widgets, embeddable players, social media integration, automated website crawling, content management, and analytics, along with a secure payment gateway to charge users.
The platform also had to handle infrastructure demands. Traffic would fluctuate with audience activity, video and user data would keep growing, and performance had to remain reliable. To release new features quickly and safely, the client needed an automated development and deployment pipeline instead of manual releases.
10Pearls designed and developed an analytics-enabled, scalable video engagement platform using AWS cloud services, with an architecture supporting content delivery, data management, analytics, and AI-powered interactions. Amazon S3 provides scalable object storage for video assets, Amazon CloudFront distributes content through a global content delivery network to support reliable, low-latency video playback.
The application uses Amazon DynamoDB to manage application data with the flexibility and scalability required for changing workloads. Its on-demand scaling suited the platform’s variable workloads and removed the need to manage database servers. For analytics, AWS Glue processes and catalogues session and video engagement data, and Amazon Athena queries it serverless, so insights are available without a standing data warehouse to operate.
Beyond this core infrastructure, the platform offers social media integration, website crawling and customizable video widgets. It also includes an AI-powered chatbot that allows customers to access performance data by asking questions directly, with account-level access controls ensuring each customer sees only their own data.
The platform uses Stripe to support subscription and usage-based billing, usage allowances, automated payment retries, and plan transitions. Automated CI/CD processes support application updates and feature deployment, helping maintain a consistent and efficient software delivery process.
The platform now processes approximately 169 million records per month, giving the client a reliable view of how audiences engage with their video content. Previously, the team prepared weekly reports for on-trial customers and monthly reports for existing customers, and each report took around 5-6 hours per customer. Those reports no longer gate access to insights: users can reach out to an AI chatbot and ask questions directly about their data and get answers on demand, without waiting for the next reporting cycle. The 5-6 hours time has been cut down to 5 minutes.
The AWS-based architecture has scaled with demand, and viewership has grown to as many as 2 million without re-engineering the platform.
