Rethinking how work gets done for AI<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Most companies have already begun initiatives to deploy AI to some extent. According to a Deloitte<\/a> report, only about 25% of organizations have moved those pilots into production, and even less have successfully scaled them. In his interview, Imran attributes this to a workflow design problem, not a technology one. Layering AI onto an existing workflow rarely produces the outcomes leaders expect, because the workflow was never built with AI in mind.<\/p>

AI doesn’t simply automate existing work. At its full potential, it changes how decisions are made, how information flows, and how teams collaborate. \u00a0That’s why success often depends less on choosing the right AI model than on redesigning how work gets done.<\/p>

Becoming AI-native means being willing to redesign how the business actually operates, rather than simply layering AI on top of existing products and processes. A significant contributing factor to successful AI adoption and maturity is not the technology, but the leadership approach. Delegating AI adoption to an assistant or a task force does not, in his framing, count as doing the work. That means experimenting with AI personally, encouraging teams to learn continuously, and creating an environment where people feel comfortable challenging established ways of working.<\/p>

To realize tangible value from AI, it is important for leadership and executives to establish a clear vision and strategy, align departments and functions around common business objectives, and equip teams with the tools and guidance they need to successfully make the best use of AI.<\/p>

Such organizational shifts and are not easy to implement, but delaying them can be more of a risk than making them. Transformation succeeds when leaders create clarity, build conviction, and give people confidence that change has a purpose beyond adopting the latest technology.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
