10Pearls is seeking an experienced UX strategist who will help shape the next generation of digital products and services.  You will empathize with users, understand stakeholder goals and moderate your clients journey to ideate their next big service or digital product.

You will be a fantastic workshop facilitator, fluent in design thinking and lean UX, and be comfortable creating new products and service concepts where none exist today.  Using stakeholder and end-user priorities, you will create early prototypes and rapidly build, test, and iterate the concepts.

Delivering powerful and impactful product and service designs that drive business outcomes will be all in a day’s work.

Description

  • You will deliver work with energy and passion, and understand the value of strong, clear, visual outputs and deliverables.

  • Planning and analytical skills are essential.
  • Create personas, journey maps, service design maps, audience segmentations, research summaries, present each internally and to the client
  • Undertake secondary research scans and comparative/competitive analysis
  • Work with clients and technology colleagues to understand their needs and recommend product and service design solutions
  • Work closely with the UX research team to gather insights that feed into the strategy process
  • Create service design maps, wireframes
  • Lead participatory and iterative design activities, including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, and other forms of requirements discovery
  • Occasional travel to major cities for user research
  • Experience with recording and editing video/motion graphics
  • Experience with location video production

Client Facing

  • Leading the client discovery process from the UX perspective including design sprints and participatory workshops
  • Be a hands-on design expert, shaping the concept and seeing it through to detailed design and implementation across a variety of devices and platforms.
  • Discover and refine through iterative prototyping w/ customers and team members.
  • Lend your voice to guide / inform the direction of projects from learnings you’ve gathered.
  • Inspire innovative approaches to design, using creative facilitation techniques and taking the lead at client meetings, internal company meetings, brainstorms and external design events.
  • Establish relationships and liaise with key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Team Facing

  • Understand how user research should be integrated in to a project.
  • Break down business, user, and technology requirements into digestible components for the design team.
  • Manage and oversee the delivery of a range of projects, defining project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Instill project teams with the confidence and discipline to explore innovative design solutions while respecting client deadlines.
  • Manage different teams in parallel.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience working as a UX Strategist within a UX/CX team
  • Ability to move quickly and adapt research to changing conditions, requirements & deadlines
  • Refined design sensibility in terms of flow and aesthetics.
  • A mindset that embraces human centered design methodologies to inform your work.
  • Ability to guide and inform solutions from your learnings and expertise.
  • Passion to continuously evolve your craft, staying on top of latest trends and tools.
  • An openness to invention and creativity regarding new methods of prototyping.
  • Strong leadership experience
  • Experience owning a project vision, execution, quality and client relationship.
  • Experience being highly accountable for design quality and project delivery.
  • Experience with concepting and ideation.
  • Working knowledge of design and prototyping tools, such as Axure, Sketch, Invision, Illustrator etc.
  • Proficient in a variety of methods to convey ideas and concepts (e.g. storyboards, wireframes, prototypes, etc.
  • Strong advocacy and communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)
  • Workshop planning and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to move quickly and adapt research to changing conditions, requirements & deadlines
